We are sorry that it has been a while since we have written an update, but have been a little busy lately. Lets see after our day around town we came home and made a carb-free dinner of chicken and bell peppers with peanut sauce as all the Italians seem to eat is carbs. We then went out with our roommates to an Irish pub to watch a U2 tribute band and had a great time as Italians are always loud and engaging. The band was very talented but it is funny to hear “U2” with an Italian accent. When we left it was “raining” outside, which really was hardly sprinkling to us, but we took a short break to dance in the rain in the Republicca Square, and then made our way home to bed. The next morning we woke up as always to the construction on the apartment next door. Our walls are paper thin so we feel like we are sleeping on a construction site and half expect to be handed a hard hat at 8am when it all starts. We then went to the school to meet for a rapid walking tour of the city with one of the advisors, whew we thought we were fast walkers, we were running to keep up! The school is very nice. Luckily for us it is about 2 blocks away, first right first left. You go through a large gate and the yellow old mansion that is home to our school sits sideways in the lot. Upon entering the large wrought iron door you take a sharp right up a cold gray set of stairs and find the school on the next level. It is all brand new, everything in white, except for the contrasting wood ceiling way above. We were happy to find that we have free internet at the school which will enable us to keep up on this crazy blog, and really feel blessed to be going to this school and having this experience. Now it is time to pick up our uglys and head out. Uglys being our affectionate name for our hideous travel pouches that ordain our necks everywhere we go. Our other roommates “uglys” are high end fashion suitcases, and we know it is only a matter of time until they get mugged, so our Uglys will prevail. As always much love to you all and thanks for sharing in our experience with us!
